Sandman Hotel Quesnel Named as Host Hotel for Lhtako Quesnel 2024 BC Winter Games
Quesnel, BC – The Sandman Hotel in Quesnel has been named as the host hotel for the Lhtako Quesnel 2024 BC Winter Games. The host hotel will be the featured hotel on the website for spectators travelling to the Games. It will also host the visiting dignitaries and BC Games Society staff leading up to and during the Games. The process for determining the host hotel was a competitive opportunity shared with local hoteliers, in which Sandman Hotel Quesnel was the successful applicant.
The Sandman Hotel Quesnel has 106 rooms available for travellers to the community. It offers a variety of amenities including an indoor pool and hot tub, exercise facilities, free on-site parking, on site dining (Denny’s Restaurant) and easy access to local attractions, shopping, and outdoor activities. A variety of other accommodations in Quesnel are also available for booking by the public.
The launch of the Games is now less than 200 days away. As the planning gears up, there will be more opportunities to get involved. People interested in volunteering for the Games can now register online to volunteer through www.bcwintergames.ca. Businesses interested in getting involved in the Games can also check the website for sponsorship opportunities.
The Lhtako Quesnel 2024 BC Winter Games will be held in Quesnel, on Lhtako Dene Traditional Territory, February 22 – 25, 2024. An estimated 2000 volunteers will be needed to host more than 1800 athletes, coaches, officials, and spectators in the community.
