Basketball - Wheelchair | 119 | Wheelchair Basketball | 12-29 | Athletes 12 to 29 are eligible. Athletes must be 12 by December 31st, 2025. Up to two new or developmental (Late entry) athletes with a physical disability per zone can be between 21 and 29 years old. Priority goes to athletes between 12-20 years old who are at the appropriate stage of Long- Term Athlete Development (LTAD) model. This competition is positioned in the Learn to Train, Train to Train phase of BC Wheelchair Basketball's LTAD model. | JL Crowe Secondary | Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals will be awarded within the parameters of the BC Games Society Medal Rule. | Hoop height is 10 feet; a size 6 ball is used | 7 athletes (male and/or female) per zone team. Maximum of 4 (four) of these athletes per team can be 4.5 (male or female) including able-bodied participants. Tournament is expecting a maximum of 6 Zone teams, with a minimum of 4 Zone teams. | No wildcards. All athletes must submit one pair of skis the day before each race day to the waxing protocol. A designated group will wax all the skis each day. Skis will be stored on site. Athletes will get their race skis before their start. | 4 competitors per zone (2 male and 2 female) plus wildcards. | 8 wildcards (4 male and 4 female). The Provincial Advisor and Biathlon BC will establish a sub-committee to select the wildcards for the BC Winter Games. The sub-committee will be chaired by the Provincial Coach and consist of 2-4 members who have a minimum coach certification of Competition Introduction. Zone selections must be held between December 5, 2025 and January 4, 2026. Biathlon BC requires all zone qualification trials to be completed by January 4, 2026.
