Trail-Rossland 2026 BC Winter Games Announces Partnership with Kootenay Savings

The Trail-Rossland 2026 BC Winter Games Society is pleased to announce a significant new partnership with the Kootenay Savings Community Foundation (KSCF) and Kootenay Savings Credit Union (KSCU), marking one of the most substantial community commitments secured for the 2026 BC Winter Games to date.

Through a combined contribution valued at $25,000, KSCU joins the Games as the Official Financial Institution, while KSCF becomes a Community Partner sponsor, reinforcing the vital role local organizations play in bringing this provincial event to life.

“The BC Winter Games is more than a sporting event; it is a catalyst for community pride and economic vitality,” said Mike Konkin, Chair of both the Kootenay Savings Community Foundation and Kootenay Savings Credit Union. “We are thrilled to mobilize our resources—both financial and human—to ensure Trail and Rossland deliver a world-class experience for athletes and visitors alike.”

Kootenay Savings’ commitment represents one of the largest single contributions made by the Foundation in recent years. “We are incredibly grateful for the generous support of Kootenay Savings,” said Brian Stefani, President of the Trail-Rossland 2026 BC Winter Games. “Their investment strengthens every aspect of our planning, from sport venues to volunteer services, and demonstrates a shared belief in the power of the Games to bring people together and provide a lasting regional impact.”
