Games Schedules and Overview
Friends, family, and supporters are an important part of the support system for athletes and coaches. Spectators are welcome at all sport competitions, which are all free of charge to cheer on the young athletes loudly and positively. The Culture of the Games expectations apply to all spectators.
Sport Schedules are expected to be finalized and posted by early February 2026.

The Opening Ceremony is a memorable experience and kicks off what will be an exceptional multi-sport Games experience. The ceremony will feature entertainment acts, participant parade, guest speakers, and lighting of the Games torch. Participants are encouraged to dress in zone colours. This event is indoors; however, participants will walk or wheel a short distance outside to their bus at the conclusion of the event. Please dress appropriately. There is no service to store coats.
The Ceremony is free, general seating with no advance tickets required. Spectators are encouraged to find ample street parking around downtown Trail, arrive early to secure seats, and enjoy some pre-show entertainment. Food will be available for purchase at the venue. The event will be livestreamed with the link shared on the website and social media closer to the event.
As the Trail-Rossland 2026 BC Winter Games host mountain partner, Red Mountain Resort will be showcasing three days of Alpine and Freestyle competitions all within viewing site lines from the village base and the ‘deck at Red’. Games families and friends looking to explore the mountain further can access 25% off day or night lift ticket passes. Just purchase in person at the sales kiosks and show a BC Games Participant e-Newsletter to access the discount.

Livestreaming
Livestreaming for sports is organized at a sport-specific level and not at a Games-wide level. Some sports that have very limited spectator seating capacity or that have Provincial Sport Organization-driven processes are offering livestreaming.
