Jillian Alexander
Games Manager – BC Summer Games
Born and raised in Victoria, Jillian spent 10 years in Calgary before returning to her hometown. She brings experience in sport administration, program development, event coordination, and volunteer leadership to her role and is passionate using community development and volunteerism to create positive change and social connection.
Jillian’s recent professional experience includes roles with the Alberta Lacrosse Association and BC Lacrosse Association, where she worked to support the growth of sport and access to it. As a longtime participant in sport, both as a player and coach, she has been involved in women’s field lacrosse, basketball, and figure skating, giving her a firsthand appreciation for the many ways sport can shape lives and bring people together.
Motivated by a desire to give back to the community and sport, which has shaped her life in many positive ways, Jillian is passionate about creating opportunities for others to participate, connect, and thrive. When she’s not at work, you can usually find her enjoying the ocean air at the beach or exploring one of the region’s many hiking trails.
