Winter in the West Kootenays
In 2026, the province's top winter athletes will head to the West Kootenays as Trail and Rossland team up to host the BC Winter Games from February 26 - March 1, 2026.
The region has a long history of hosting major sport events, having successfully hosted the 1982 and 2006 BC Winter Games, the 1996 BC Summer Games, and the 2011 BC Seniors Games.
