Sixteen young participants recognized with BC Games Leadership Bursary at 2026 BC Summer Games

Each BC Winter and BC Summer Games, sixteen young participants are awarded the BC Games Leadership Bursary, recognizing their achievements across their sport, school, and community.

Among the recipients at the Kelowna 2026 BC Summer Games were 14 athletes, one assistant coach, and one official, each of whom will receive $500 towards their future education or athletic pursuits.

“We are proud to have such incredible young athletes, coaches, and officials participate in our Games,” said Alison Noble, President and CEO of the BC Games Society.

“We know that such deep commitment to sport, education, and community involvement is no easy task, often requiring considerable investments. For that reason, we are pleased to be able to help these bright young participants keep striving towards their sport and education goals.”
